Eulogia aravena: trayectoria de saberes y oficio en las letras en el cambio de siglo en chile (xix-xx)

This article aims to present the life trajectory and professionalization of Eulogia Aravena as an editor and teacher. She was an intellectual of the 19th and 20th centuries who also worked as a cultural manager, activist, liberal, and feminist. Through her work in media production, both in sections and texts, she professionalized herself by engaging in political and social interventions. The research combines various methodologies such as reviewing newspaper sections, genealogical reconstruction, and text analysis. Thus, we argue that women, upon entering the public sphere, developed strategies related to the development of letter-related professions, such as editing and teaching, which collectively speak to their professionalization and positioning within diverse cultural and political spheres.
