Abstract
The work is about the Atacama mining region. We located our ground field in the main urban concentration points on polluting sources for studying the relationship between extractive industry and communities. We considered the perception locally held and its impact in territorial terms and the social space, within conditions of risk and vulnerability generated by task and tailings deposits, exacerbated by climate change. Based on these precedents, and based on interviews and focus groups conducted in field works, locali-zed life is tensioned with the circulation of knowledge, gathering analytically the sources of discursive enunciation.
