Effect of temperature on the carbonization process of cationic carbon dots: a physicochemical and <i>in vitro</i> study

<jats:p>Carbon dots prepared at different carbonization temperatures showed an increase in their optical properties, along with a decrease in cytotoxicity towards bacterial strains and both tumor and non-tumor cell lines as the temperature increased.</jats:p>
